Yet, it’s her unique experience as a homeowner, entrepreneur, and investor in New York City that makes her an exceptional partner to and advocate for her clients. She has bought and sold over a dozen homes and buildings on her own behalf. 

Grounded in the belief that her neighborhood, Bedford Stuyvesant, could attract the type of establishments that we see today, she founded two of Bedford Stuyvesant’s most popular neighborhood spots – Voudou Bar and Dahlia’s Cafe. Her expertise and business savvy have earned her several awards and recognition, including Bedstuy Alive! Tohma Y. Faulkner Community Award: New Entrepreneur Award, the Kings County District Attorney’s Office Caribbean -American Heritage Month Celebration: Caribbean Achievers Award, the NAACP Freedom Fund: Entrepreneur Award and Carver Federal Savings Business Recognition Award. 

Her educational background includes a BA in Economics and a Juris Doctorate degree. She discovered her true passion for real estate and entrepreneurship following her experience as a corporate restructuring attorney in New York City. Practicing law honed her skills as a shrewd negotiator and gives her a unique knowledge of the real estate laws, contracts, and the legal processes a buyer or seller must navigate. 

Still a Bedford Stuyvesant resident, she is well-connected and actively involved in the community. She served as a member of the board of directors of the Bedford Stuyvesant Gateway Business Improvement District, Bedford Stuyvesant Early Childhood Development Center Inc., Interfaith Medical Center, and Girls Inc. of New York City. 

Her contacts and residency leverage her enthusiasm and expertise, enhancing her ability to deliver optimal results for her clients. When she’s not helping people find their dream homes, Daphnée spends her time with family, traveling, and exploring the City’s restaurants.
