The space

The rest of the apartment has been renovated in a sophisticated, inviting style. It retains some original Art Deco touches (metal window and door frames, arched doorways and Carrera marble bathroom), while embracing modern urban luxury: Italian gold-leaf sphere chandelier, robern bath cabinets with built-in lighting and heated mirror, custom-built sofa, two through-the-wall remote control air conditioners, Haiku ceiling fan, custom Corian dining table and bath vanity, high-gloss bedroom wall unit. and contemporary art. The apartment is well suited to working at home, with high-speed WiFi, wireless printer/scanner, a Roku streaming device and three Amazon Echo devices.

Upon entering the building, you and your guests are greeted by our friendly and helpful doormen. They’ll sign for packages, take your outbound mail, and announce your visitors. As you enter the apartment, you walk through a short entry hallway into the dining area, and the step-down living room, making this large area feel more like two distinct areas. Cross the dining area, and you approach one of three doors: kitchen (which has a brass bead curtain, not an actual door), bathroom, and bedroom. The bathroom feels sexy and spacious, with marble tile up to the ceiling, a ceiling-mounted shower curtain instead of a glass panel or door, and LED nightlights in the medicine cabinet and vanity drawer. The dining area is comfortable for working or dining, with a high-top table and architectural drafting chairs. The custom sofa in the living room has a double-width chaise section, perfect for couples lounging and streaming TV. The apartment features two large windows in the living room, two in the bedroom, and a small window in both the bathroom and kitchen. The bedroom is set up with a seating area in front of the bed, which is a queen size Royal Pedic 7-zone natural latex mattress. High-Speed WiFi, hot water, heat, electricity and professional cleaning every two weeks are all included; an 8-machine laundry room is in the basement.
