Who needs to toot about the 70’s in the Upper West Side?!…To the most expecting New Yorkers, the subdued and historic residential neighborhood of the UWS only starts at 70th Street. The Ansonia occupies its epicenter: herself proudly named “the Address of the West Side”, Princess Ansonia figures in all the books about NY: if not pictured on the cover, maybe in the centerfold. BUILDING ROOF DECK:
The stunning landscaped roof deck used to be the Owner’s farm. Mr. Stoke thought of himself as the most sophisticated urban farmer. A precursor of green roofs & hydroponic farming! Rush up to seep a chilled Chardonnay or enjoy a sun salutations before the cute Jersey cow, hens & pigs come back to their home. This is my favorite place in New York for a secret yoga hour.
