Discussion about
I have been a teacher for many years, and my long-time rental is being de-regulated to market prices, which I cannot afford on a teacher's salary not reaching 58K/per yr. Any suggestions as per where to look for affordable middle-class (if there is such a thing), not a killer-commute away from Manhattan? or should I stop dreaming and relocate?

Good luck to you, our teacher friend, & all you teachers out there. These posts have really shown what a truly thankless job yours is. Let us know how you fare. I apologize for all the truants & bullies who've come out of the woodwork on this thread.

I'm glad to hear the rosy reviews but many of my friends are teachers & find it to be a tough job with LOTS of paperwork. Let's not make this about who's right & wrong & HELP OUR FRIEND FIND A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE !

Relocate or use your savings to continue to live in Manhattan like everyone else.
