Anyone go to the auto show yet? I heard it is scaled down because of the economy. Is it worth going this year or does it suck?
Good point Alpine. I hear Winnebago's are trading 35% below peak comps.
I went - I'm pretty sure Audi used the exact same models last year (though they are still cool). I didn't notice any major "we're in a recession people!" signs though. Pretty much business as usual.
Friend of mine said it was incredibly packed on Sat. Might have been b/c of the weather.
this doy did not go, but I only wanted to see the 997 GT3 2.0, but the real action is the new McLaren F killer :) On the new car side.
Given where the used car prices are on Bentleys, GT2, GT3, Ferraris F430, F550, F599, Ford GT40, 993TT.... I wouldn't touch a new car for the next 2 yrs....
bjw2103,
I did not know you were into the auto show. I used to go all the time when I was a teenager and take pix in the cars.
Where is the best place to track used exotic car prices? Are Ferraris finally starting to depreciate? What does a used F430 go for these days? I might switch from my weekend SL550.
As an aside, MB is offering to pay the last 9 months of the lease on my daily driver S550 if I swap into a new one. Since I have gone over my mileage and warranty, it makes sense for me to do so.
I went because some friends wanted to, and was surprised that it seemed to be pretty good this year.
Ferrarichat, rennlist for Porsche, 6speedonline is ok for Porsche, Bentley, Lambo etc. tho flooded with wanna be "ballers." Mannheim (wholesale) prices listed on those from time to time.
All exotics are getting killed, I forgot to add. Barely touched R8's are plummeting.
