Discussion about
Interested in pulling down a wall and opening up 2 back-to back closets to create a large walk in. Yes I will need to get board approval and have an engineer prob check it out. I just wanted to get a sense from those who have undergone some construction what this might range? Would need the job to pull down one exterior wall (the interior wall seperating the 2 closet) and reframe the door. Any thoughts...One contractor gave me estimate around 3k. Will be getting others but is this reasonable?

hi,
we are thinking about doing the same in our apartment. did you end up doing it? would you recommend the contractor/carpenter you worked with?

Gold,

Regarding the op posts, check with your building before you hire an engineer, the building engineer should be able to tell you yes or no.
