Discussion about
Are we really forced to listen to HER now? http://www.cnbc.com/id/30386683 Wasn't one Trump enough?
Never fails - miserable people with no positive outlook hate successful people.
she's successful? or just born into wealth. i think the later.
I guess someone has to take the other side or there's no discussion. No doubt she was born into her position - no one at her age and level of experience would be an EVP of a major real estate developer unless the family name was above the door. That said, she is more articulate than most of the financial talking heads on CNBC and elsewhere. I have heard other interviews and have been surprised at how low key and well spoken she is, compared, for example, to her blowhard father. To answer steve's question, I think one Trump might actually be more than enough, but she is not that one. I'd also observe that not all apples fall the same distance from the tree; her brother, The Donald Junior, comes across in interviews as pretty much of a butthead.
I avoid CNBC like the plague, so this was a no-issue for me. But I concur with sidelinesitter. I have heard only positive things about her business acumen. As she would be an easy target, I have to think there must be something to her. You can throw The Donalds under the subway, however.
Ivanka rocks!
She went to Wharton and did well in school. She has two parents who excel in the art of making money and she has been well programmed since her childhood to be in business. Yes, the name opened doors but compared to her two brothers she has far more ability to run the company in full someday and she will do so better tahn many trust fund babies.
She could have turned out to be another Paris Hilton disappointment. Instead, she chose to work and succeed at that which she is familiar with, real estate development. There is plenty of money for her to indulge herself in every meaningless whim. She is in training for bigger and greater things to come and only she knows which vision will inspire her enough to follow in that path. She is young, articulate, substantial and pretty. Good luck to her.
I think she may also do jewelry? maybe i'm wrong, but that wouldn't be a slap, that would be someone who has high energy diversifying, as long as she did it well or got out when it was apparent that it was necessary.
I'm going to attract some potential abuse, but I always thought her mother had some real instincts in certain business areas.
Well - she promoted that Baja development aggressively and stated in public those apartments "would always hold their value".
Investors lost everything of their 30% deposits. Every single dime.
Ivanka flew around having cocktail parties to promote Baja Trump, luring dim, but honest middle-class families to their financial doom.
She a blonde hustler, no more, no less.
Good point, but until recently we had only admiration for the hustlers.
It's always the buyers' fault, don't you know? Or is it always their fault until the investors are well-known, with a bit of power?
I do blame the buyers for cupidity and stupidity - a toxic combo indeed.
But nothing justifies putting "these apartments will always hold their value" into written promotional material.
You have to be really dumb or dishonest to pull that stunt. I think she has already been sued.
bondirotta, I was just joking. there's a lot of toxicity to go around.
