Discussion about 95 Wall Street in Financial District
for anyone interested in this place, take your money and live elsewhere. the apartments are tiny, they'll lie to you about getting a 40% reduction in electricity when in fact you'll end up paying more here than at other places and rents are so ridiculous that they con you with incentives to make you think your getting a good deal. you can find better deals at 2 Gold or 63 Crest. the elevators are still only half done after a year, the maintenance crew is incompetent, the property manager is useless, the gym is always crowded and stinks, the location is loud and noisy. this place isn't worth your time and money.

That's too bad, but it just sounds like most of those newer rentals (or new-developments-gone-rentals).
According to a friend @ 2 Gold, his bldg. isn't no picnic, either. Apparently there are too many units for the infrastructure in place, and he says it's crazyness in the morning and evenig rush hours (the elevators never come, the gym is impossible to use, and so on). This is why people w/ money usually prefer to live in smaller bldgs., I suppose--rental or purchase.
nyc212--disagree about wealth and building size. It is physical plant that matters more. A 130 unit building with 4 elevators beats a 30 unit building with one elevator in terms of wait time. It is building quality--not "smaller is better."
