columbiacounty, what is the problem with my language? Point it out.
As far as your anatomical questions, her brain tells her that minorities and the poor can't ever make it in this society so they need to be protected. That is the ultimate in passive racism.

What are you so insecure about? You can tell me, I won't judge you, like some people who call others "jane fonda types" or label people anti-american and pro-communist.

And by the way, it's 2009, might as well say Socialist, right?

No aboutready, I'm no racist. I want people of all colors and stripes to succeed, have a good life, support their families, have happiness and security. I don't go in with the assumption that certain people can't achieve just because of their race or current economic status. Like I said, you are the type who will never get it, no matter how smart you are. You think your role in the world is to protect the poor and keep them poor, quash their ambitions and chances for upward mobility.

Do us a favor and prove your loyalty to our country and go fight, and shut your trap.

And how the hell could you possibly draw a line from anything AR said, to not supporting the troops?

Dare I ask, you think Saddam blew up the WTC, right? Cause Bush said so? Are we really going here?

if you had just read my original, calmly stated, advice, to re-read AR's posts..

Oh Columbia, are those the fights you wish to pick. "any" vs. "much" and "American fighting soldiers" vs. "American soldiers".

You are taking your cues from aboutready about changing the subject when you are behind. Unfortunately, I suspect that your intelligence level is closer to upperwestrenter's level. That is if you aren't the same person.

"deb, what board are you reading?? Do us a favor and re-read this, carefully this time. Perhaps you have to read slower?
Give it another try, then wait before typing.
my folks taught me something, think before you speak"

that was calm compared to what I'm not going to post...
and you ignored it

Explain to me where AR's comments = anti-troop?
And I could care less about grammar or spelling, I care more about the main point...but I chose to pick on you because of the chip on your shoulder, and it worked.
That was the first thing you asked me, "where is the run-on sentence?"

Are you ashamed of your upbringing? Perhaps your folks don't speak english well and you were embarrassed as a child? It's ok, let it out. You can cry on my shoulder honey, I'll even rub your back ever so slightly

After blowing 15 minutes of my life reading this thread, i think most readers are noticing the same thing. The real estate bears's use of profanity is simply out of control. You hardly see the opposing side doing it.
And they call us the bunch with hidden agenda. You SE bears need to cool down and stop acting like a bunch of 16 year old high school drop outs. It seems like every logical debate always end up with name calling and profanity by you bears. To make matters worst, how can any use violence, racism and stabbing of little girls to anything be RIGHT? Even though if it's a joke, it's still wrong.

Please w47tstreet, can you use that 1,600 SAT score of yours to good use. Let's be a little sensitive with the words. Even if you are a racist, pro-violence and little girl stabber supporter, let's try not to talk about it on these boards.

Thanks!

Your friend.

Hi all-

There was a lengthly discussion here following my post and plenty is off base in its interpretation of my statements and/or a deliberate diversion by individuals with their own hard to fathom agendas. I don't know how the discussion became about violence or racism. Real estate ownership has nothing to do with racism or violence, nor classism. Just the opposite. The greater ownership levels achieved in the past decade support advancement and equality for all.

Simply said, real estate ownership adds stability to our country, to our families, and to our lives, as well is a sensible way for families to save for the long term and own real assets. Certainly there are legitimate short-term reasons why it might be preferable to rent, such as if a person expects to be transient in location or in their particular job or a hardship. Beyond that if we encourage more families to be owners of their residences, as has been the American way, is part of our shared value system, and is a core element of the American dream, then all of our American society will benefit.

Ownership makes irrefutable sense.

If money isn't an issue, how does overpaying have any relations to losing it? My personal belief is that homeowners were over leveraged to a point where they were simply buying something they can't afford. It's a case by case issue. Currently, many people are losing their homes because of unemployment, but one can argue that a number of us who overpaid can still afford it. Foreclosure rates are not 100%.

Apartments may decline in value, I suspect they will but on the other hand real estate markets are slow. As for the rest of deflation, maybe in certain areas. More likely that people will substitute premium products for lower products. See today's Ad Age. And frankly, either way, whether it is Kellogg's Raisin Bran or the private label raisin bran, it is still American and good for kids to eat ... since I see this discussion evolved into some bitter war between homeowners and renters, American family value types and independent voters, and grammarians and hooligans.

ericho75.. you are absolutely right... america is a stout little boat and will right itself, we just gotta get thru a couple of more knock downs... that's the only difference btwn u and I....

Forget little odessa, I can deduce it in other ways... do you drive a BMW? does your last name start with a K or D?

W67: didn't I suggest that you were from Odessa by way of B. Beach? Who knows if the States is a stout little boat or we're in the endgame of the Titanic.

i'd be happier if the boat showed evidence of better construction standards. but the band is playing lovely music as we sail forth. even if the buffet table looks a bit sparse.

hey nyc10023... howz the work outs? yes I do recollect that question.... but aboutready knows my Social Security # and Amex pin #, thats' why I'm so nice to her :) and can't divulge more on SE... :)

For my children's sake, let hope it's not the Titanic :), that's why I prefer stout sailboats with well built bulkheads... .the problems or solution with knock downs and such is the "righting" momentum of the boat and it's structural integrity... America is a bitch, but it's my bitch :)

NEVER EVER buy a trimaran.... unless you know what the hell you are doing... those things are scary off the water...
