Thats what they're asking. What they receive is a diff. story. I just rented 2bd 2bth there for $5100 (lease signed last week). Dwn from original asking of $6300. Didnt need to push hard either.

Too bad you spent so much to live among the projects, ITM. Nybits.com has much better, bigger rentals for far less money & no fee.

People need to get accustomed to the fact that pricing for rentals is now similar to sales (houses, cars, and the like)

It's only the opening figure or asking price. You wouldnt pay asking price when buying a car or a home. Shit, you wouldnt pay the asking price for a car lease nowadays.

Bid low. Parents teach "you dont get unless you ask" when kids are five years old. How fast we forget. Funny how we're conditioned to think its improper to not pay full ask. Ah, the racket:)

Your comment was snarky, steve. Own at least that much. And abutting the High Line isn't exactly "living in the projects." I understand what you are referring to. I'm only saying ITM posted a legit seeming post and you responded in a snarky, nasty exaggerated way. There's no need for that. You can say the same thing in a way reflective of your views and intellect without taking a poster's head off in the process and just making someone feel bad for no reason with the hyperbole.

When you are angry at the hand life has dealt you, then you lash out.

I'm in a different line of business, but I always make sure not to work with someone who is underwater or has struggled. It just isn't worth it. I'd rather deal with a successful arrogant jerk than a angry bitter loser.

NYC is full of diverse neighborhoods, but the complaint about near the projects is a typical white persons racism

Really easy to ignore Steve (& Rufus). Just click 'ignore this person' as I have. Then all you see are non-snarky comments.

I agree with steve. I see police cars parked there whenever i pass by. Let's see, right next to the projects, and across from a night club. Great Location !!

Quite the assumption that I'm white.

LICC thinks I'm nasty because I publish pictures of what his his neighborhood looks like - not that far off from the Caledonia: a wasteland. I have nothing particularly against LICC (or the Caledonia), but I am honest in my evaluation of them.

Dumps.

I'm glad most people here observe that steve is a nasty person, and that his comments and analysis typically are of low intelligence and provide no value.

"Quite the assumption that I'm white."

You mean that wasn't you in those stand-up videos you posted of yourself?

LICC: "most people here observe that steve is a nasty person"

LICC: "his comments and analysis typically are of low intelligence and provide no value"

Hmm. Seems LICC has compartmentalized his self-image in the typical borderline black or white fashion. Projection is a wonderful thing!

Of course it's me, bjw - I just don't think maidforladies (is that a lesbian thing or is "maid" just spelled wrong?) saw it.
