Discussion about
Saw this in Crain's... but then I laughed when I read it. Williamsburg housing market springs to life http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20090731/FREE/907319973/1059 The data they present... a sales office for Northside Piers gets 2 people a day, and thats a "boost"... and its (they claim) 75% sold out, problem is thats after how long, and oh yeah, two more towers are coming. They did sell seven apartments, but it "might" have been because you get the apartment free for a year. And a rental building leased quickly. I don't doubt a rush to rentals... But if this is the "good news" for sales...

I live in NSP, and on a nice day (especially a weekend) I run into at least 4 or 5 sales tours in the building (I'm sure there are several others). And I've seen a bunch of new residents move in over the past couple months. Plus two of the most expensive units, the townhouses, became occupied in the past month. Seems like good news to me.
