Discussion about
Perhaps I am just missing it, but I cant seem to find a way to sort listings by broker/firm. For instance, I would like to see all the corcoran (or other firm) listings that have the characteristics of my search. Is this possible?
can't you just go to corcoran's site and use their own search like the old days
Of course you can, but I was trying to figure out a way to do it via this site. Doing so provides a lot more useful information than going directly to the site as well. For instance (using SE and filtering the results), I could pull up all the corcoran listings on the UES, see how long each had been on the market, and things like that.
I have tried all the search options but I cant seem to figure out how to do this. If anyone can figure it out, please let me know!
sort of OT, while i commend Corcoran for providing apartment numbers again, wtf is us with the "camera shy" that pops up when you try to pull up the floorplan on SE? you have to pull up Corcoran's web page for floorplans for all the recent listings. a small point, but that's exactly my point. why would they bother to not include them when they put up the icon on the listing?

I happen to think that this is a great idea. The reason Street Easy is so valuable is because of the information the site provides that you cannot find going to brokers site directly. However, as you may be, I definitely only have a few brokerage firms that I trust and would do business with. To be able to utilize Street Easy and search by Brokerage Firm would be the "best of both worlds", "having your cake and eating it to", etc....
SE, please add this feature!
"However, as you may be, I definitely only have a few brokerage firms that I trust and would do business with."
that is a very interesting statement. you feel that corcoran and elliman, or similar, are trustworthy? i find the worst snakes and the most incompetent agents there.
for me, the smaller the better (like ali).

Your statement only proves why this would be a very valuable feature. Lets say you DONT want corcoran listings, you should be able to filter the results by the broker(s) or firms you DO want. I think everyone probably does/doesnt want to deal with listings by certain firms, and having the flexibilty to (at minimum) filter by firm would be great.
i agree, just filter out would be better. unfortunately, it is easier to filter in then out :-).
This would be very easy for SE to implement. They already have the search feature of "description includes", so the functionality (filtering) is already there. They would simply need to add another search criteria that said something like "lising agent/firm", and then you could fill in the name(s) of those you wanted included in the results.
