Discussion about
I went to see a loft yesterday that was pretty big and well laid out. It included a mezzanine "loft" inside the loft, but the ceiling on that area felt like 6.5 feet or less (I'm 5'11" and it felt very tight) The broker assured me that it was done like that to accommodate the recessed lightning and that it could be ripped out and raised, but I'm skeptical. Does anybody know what's up to code for a bedroom? 6, 6.5, 7 feet? I guess that if you buy it and use it as a bedroom you still would have to advertise it as a mezzanine for resale, because of the lack of proper height?
