It's a shame and a shock that it's not private businesses playing this hand, given that they're the ones stuck with the ever-rising premiums that they're then expected to heavily subsidize.

maybe because private businesses know 1st hand that the more gov't is involved, the worse the end product for the consumer. and they are the consumer of healthcare.
