"Unemployment among minority men in the city rose at an alarming clip in the first six months of the year, outpacing the overall city rate of 8.9% by a wide margin. Through June, the unemployment rate for African American men was 18.8%, according to a new analysis of the U.S. Census Bureau’s current population survey by the Fiscal Policy Institute. Including those African American men who have given up looking for work and those involuntarily working part time, the unemployment rate is 26.9%. The rate for Hispanic men is 11.5%, or 18.1% including those who are discouraged or forced to work part time. "

27% black and 19% latin men not fully employed in the city, i'd go long on the cash economy if i could
