Coop Loan: call center vs branch

I shopped around before and settled on a mortgage broker but still feeling like I need to do my own research on whats out there. My previous experience is that when ever I use mortgage call center from a bank, the rates are cheaper than the ones from the branch. Maybe the branch ones are pocketing the rate difference? Any pros / cons for this?
