Discussion about
...can it be admitted now that actual warm living people do buy apartments in Manhattan? No? Let's keep the drivel up? OK. After all, it's mostly renters left on the site. It's a self-contained site of ruminating denizens who... Aw, all right. Streeteasy, you have 12 posters left. And they analyze one another's statements with microscopes, and some broker gives them seemingly scientific piece of ...what? . So long.

I'm mystified how people like yourself can't even find value in the entertainment offered here. The other stuff is just plain gold if you happen to be in the market. If you can't see any redeeming qualities in either, well you have other issues we can't help you with.

There probably is a bias sample here.
Some but not all of the most vocal posters appear to be either first time potential home buyers, previous owners who are now renters or what I'll term Manhattan diaspora. Would make an interesting poll to find out what the true mix is.

Some of the most vocal posters, who seem to use SE to make online friends, should try to get together in a bar somewhere, and see if they could stand each other in person.

ph41, you are late for the party. That has already happened and it seems everybody had a blast!

"it seems everybody had blast" - sounds like you weren't - just going by all the postings?

Why are you so angry, ph41?

I'm not angry - just more skeptical about all the posters(I do tend to agree with inquirer) - though I do find SE postings amusing, and, sometimes, though rarely, even informative at the least

Most frequent posters expose poorly veiled agendas and some make no attempt to conceal where they want the market to go. Professional knowledge and personal aspirations will naturally influence the opinion of those who choose to contribute. Some choose to posit with grace, others with a hammer. Its only human nature and humans can be ugly sometimes. In the end it's fundamentally impossible to have an open forum like this free of these influences, so you should be skeptical ph41. What makes it work is each side policing the other.
