Discussion about
Is there any way to ascertain whether a "No Longer Available" listing has gone into contract, or has merely been taken off the market? Short of awaiting for the details from Acris, I don't know of a way to do this. Apt below just went "No Longer Available" today. http://www.streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/390265-coop-1199-park-avenue-carnegie-hill-new-york?email=true

And with so many listings being taken off the market, and with many concluding that supply is declining based on this, it would be helpful to be able to know the circumstances behind these listing withdrawals.

if it went into contract -- it states - in contract. This implies (where i have seen it) sellers taking it off the market.

actually some apts shown as "No Longer Available" (that I have bothered to look into several months later) turn up on Acris as having closed--and some just disappear--and of course many do indicate in contract, but many that don't prove to have been in contract as they turn up closed on Acris.

It would be very helpful to know which of the "no Longer Availbable" that don't show in contract, are in fact in contract.
