Discussion about
Is it b/c Corcoran doesn't want Streeteasy to keep floorplans or is it a streeteasy bug?
Could be because Corcoran doesn't want people to notice they're lying about square footage.
Just click on the link that goes directly for their ad on THEIR site and it should be there.
And if it's not there, you decide on whether to even bother with the listing.
I think anyone who doesn't post floorplans will decide down the road if their traffic is severely diminshed or not when they don't post floorplans and/or photos.
i have seen this -- i think it is so corcoran can claim that they are getting the internet traffic. when you sell through corcoran they give you hits as part of the status report for traffic.... just a thought...
I do that but it is quite annoying. Corcoran keeps the floorplans of the properties they sell on line. But the ones which are unsold are deleted. So there will be loss of information on comparables and etc. I suspect that the brokerages are trying to prevent too much transparency. Perhaps they think that in order to survive, they have to perpetuate information asymmetry, like in the used car business.
corocoran has real issues with streeteasy... the brokers complain --- I agree -- they are just trying to keep info to themselves so that they feel they offer something special....
The problem is that the internet is pretty much public space. Corcoran seems to want to be able to publicize their properties but still keep the info to themselves. i.e. they want to have the cake and eat it too.
Occam's razor suggests Corcoran is looking for more website hits.
Not a big deal.
Then pics would also be unavailable as well if they really want people to go to their website.
