So, like, not enough people want to give him $1100psf to live in a recently ex-Mitchell-Lama with Section 8 voucher neighbors? Go figgah.
Levy should have marketed it as an authentic Bauhaus "Machine for Living". Where are the midcentury-modern loyalists?
at the manhattan house.
not yair's year.
not Levy's bevy.
Sorry, once he bashed in his partners head with an ice bucket well...he had me at the first crack of the skull. The repeated bashing olny cemented my love. Who says you have to lose with grace...you go down swinging. Sounds like a business practice from the 'ole Israeli MBA school of business and head bashing. Some swing a big dick, other dicks swing an ice bucket...only in New York kids, only in New York.
it was swig, after all.
swung at swig.
Well, he did such a great job at 225 Rector Place! He should have known better in that case as well. You are not going to fare well if you are on the other side of a deal with Related. That's what he gets for playing with the Big Boys!
He paid almost 1/2 million dollars per unit back in 2005. MJ Raynes revisited again.
johnnyhoops, didn't related enter the picture at 225 rector after the failure? there wasn't any playing that i recall, but maybe my memory is faulty.
Aboutready, it was a Related building first. They sold to Levy and then they came back and took over the management again.
I took a taxi the other day, and the driver used to work for Levy in the development of this project. He told me that he was fired for being disloyal last year after he crunched numbers and asked Levy, "how in the world do you figure this can possibly work."
