I think Frank is covering his ass for his part in the whole subprime fiasco (cheap shot: "I guess there's a first time for everything")

Barney's made the claim that the lack of regulation was due to Republicans. Now he's in charge. Let's see how he runs with the football.

Interesting how the story states he's informed the Republicans on the Goldman issue. One thing Barney isn't, is politically stupid. He realized what would happen if he didn't act.
