Discussion about
So here's the situation: I am interested in an apartment in Kips Bay Tower (used to be called Kips Bay Plaza). I'm looking at the lease which says that in the event of inconsistencies between the lease and the condo documents, the condo docs are binding. The rider specifically refers to a section of the bylaws. Yet I'm being told that renters are not allowed to view the Condominium documents. This is a walk-away issue for me, and I don't doubt I'm gonna have to. No way do I "waive" my right to see the details of what I'm legally agreeing to. But is this common? First time I've considered a condo rental.

The bylaws are part of the condo declaration you'll find on ACRIS.

It may be, though, that the bylaws were amended later. If so then you're stuck if the owner won't give you a copy.
