NYC on pace for record-low homicides

Funny I didn't go wilding until 6 months of no jobs and then 6 months of hunger pangs. Amazing, these I-bankers haven't resorted to raping and pillaging. Not yet.

One other thing, police size is a lagging indicator. After WWII, the size of the military in us was enormous and continued to be so for several months even after th end.

The NYPD peaked at 40,000 officers in 2001 and has been steadily decreasing since then. Right around 33,000 now. Don't see the relationship between police size and military. Last time I checked, police work was completely different than military duties.

Sprinkle more of that birth control stuff around, an aging population commits fewer murders.

LOL, I heard this report on NPR today and immediately pondered how the bear den would react. I come here too often. ;)
