Why you say? Well, 5 things. (1) The headlines will announce "the recession is dead!" as Q3 GDP comes in positive. (2) As Noah mentioned YoY and prior Q comparisons will be very favorable. With the real estate media all over it. (3) Govt first time homeowners 8k tax deduction 'may" go away in Nov. (4) The sales momentum is building on itself and finally... Why you say? Well, 5 things.
(1) The headlines will announce "the recession is dead!" as Q3 GDP comes in positive.
(2) As Noah mentioned YoY and prior Q comparisons will be very favorable. With the real estate media all over it.
(3) Govt first time homeowners 8k tax deduction 'may" go away in Nov.
(4) The sales momentum is building on itself and finally...
(5) The US equity markets will pass Dow 10k(big psyche number) and also bypass the historically worst 2 months for stock returns. That is a big crystal ball guess but I'll take a shot.
So any big time manhattan "media experts" want to square off? I know you guys read SE and lurk about. I doubt those "media experts" will go at it. First thing they learn out of that Ivy league business school is...."When you are quoted never, ever ever ever get specific just generalities this way they can never pin you down". Oh I fogot to add that the only "media expert" with any balls is Noah from Urbandigs. He mixes it up with the rest of us. That's why I promote his sight here and I hope he does well.

Ill take the other side of your bet. Lmao. It's not like clunkers for cars, all that did was get the lower end moving. That's like saying mcd sales are up in NYC, so the restaurant business in NYC is alive and well.

yeah but whats happening right now in the market ? both the commercial , residntial (sale and rental) markets are declining. cushman and wakefield just reported today that commercial rents are down almost 10% since june 2009. Manhattan RE is crumbling in front of your eyes and you refuse to see it.

I am not seeing any interesting inventory at all in my saved searches. It's slow as molasses, either super expensive listings or disgusting estate sales listings. How can the market rebound when there is nothing to buy?
