This is the territory of the budding young mind. That fresh shiny college fed organ of innocence and good intention coupled with a sprinkle inexperience and the desire to impress young faux intellectuals on the off chance that that might convince them to be naked. As for practical reality if you read the book as a grown up it loses it's luster.

Which is why the teacher's union is working hard to ensure they can't read in the first place...
