Thanks in advance to all my clever and knowledgeable friends on SE...
Moulding is not very expensive to begin with. It is the labor to install that kills you. Dykes Lumber has a good selection available in MDF (which doesn't expand or contract and is an excellent choice for crowns) and wood (better for baseboards that get more wear and tear). No idea if there is less expensive option.

thanks kw!
rent a table saw... well worth the extra expense... and date a tall guy/gal for that month... and remember dont' worry about wasting moulding... better to start with one long piece than to use a bunch of little ones... TRUST ME.. I KNOW....
Dykes, Metropolitan Lumber, and Woodorama (only in NJ now)
How much should you expect to pay to have it installed?
