How many people on this board who buy Manhattan real estate also buy high priced art ..... meaning spending at least 1000+ on a painting? Of all the factors you include in your reason for living in the city, jobs, restaurants, schools, etc. how important is the art scene relative to all the other factors?

I definitely buy art like that, it's actually a pretty good investment in some cases. It's also nice to have something pretty and creative on your wall that you know someone worked extremely hard on to create.

I work in the art business, so living in NYC (or another place like London and/or Berlin) is crucial.
