Discussion about 340 East 64th Street #7P
05/27/2009 Listed in StreetEasy by Prudential Elliman at $799,000. 08/06/2009 Listing entered contract. 10/08/2009 Sale recorded for $720,000. This one's interesting, as the seller had owned it for 43 years. She bought it as new construction in 1966 for I don't know how much (no RE tax marked on deed) but mortgage was for $21,000. She paid that off in 1979, and never borrowed another nickel against the place. The St. Tropez is said to be NYC's first condo.

Were there more people who were single back then?

To TheRake-there was a great factual kind-of funny article in the NYT years ago about the single women who lived the "glazed white brick apt buildings" who originally moved into them in the 60's and 70's and never got married and never moved out. I wonder if this was one of them.
