Discussion about
Its the print copy, Money Mag Dec 2009...
"most economists believe values nationwide will hit bottom in the second half of the year - but not before falling another 5% to 10% first"
also notes...
"if the economy really picks up stead and inflation fears resurface in the second half of the year, rates could rise as high as 5.25% to 6.5%"... and seems like we now have the fear.
also...
"30% of recent foreclosures were on higher-priced homes - nearly double the 2006 rate"
"demand is much softer for middle o top-tier homes, particularly those about $500k... the supply is greater, too.."

making predictions for the NATIONAL housing market is absurd since there is no national market. It's like the weatherman giving you the average temperatre for the entire country rather than just your city.

"most economists believe..." Economists, huh? Well, at least we can be confident that we now know what WON'T happen. It's a start I guess.
It would be more useful if they said what they think will not happen. That would become my base case.

Scientists absolutely do global temperatures.
Your analogy sucks anyway.
