Looking for nicer/newer buildings on the UWS. I like the idea of One Columbus Square, but not the headaches. My boundaries are: 80th-100th from CPW to Riverside, or 110th-120th from Riverside to Amsterdam. Melar looked nice too. Doorman preferable, but must be in a SAFE neighborhood. For a reference point, I would move into 808 Columbus in a heartbeat if the things I read weren't all about the sketchy rental agents and the undelivered amenities. I am looking for a 1br under $2600.
i really like the melar. they quote $2900. would they come down?
The Melar is awesome. $2900 is an incredibly good rate for the building, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Have you gone to CityRealty's website. Very good and detailed. Been around a long time: http://www.cityrealty.com/new-york-city/apartment/rentals/for-rent/directory/west-side
I'd love some insight into this topic as well ... I'd love to know some rental buildings from West 63 to West 82. My husband and I love West River House at 81st and West End. The amenities are fabulous, but the totally renovated apts are pricey.
bump?
Take a look at RDNY.com. They've got some pretty good UWS buildings. No broker fee on any of them.
Thanks but I'm not paying for a service that SE can give me ... I thought if anyone had any particular UWS buildings to keep an eye out for that would be good.
try avalon morningside, nice builing
Thanks, but that's way too far north. We'd like to limit it to 65th to 84th St on the west side
tower 67 (67th and amsterdam) is my old building. love the location.

STOP BEING CHEAP AND UNINFORMED AND TALK TO A REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONAL WHO DEALS IN UWS RENTALS!!!!!
If your parameters are 65-84 and you can go all the west to RSB - tons of stuff. Brodsky buildings on WEA, Trump buildings all the way north from 65 to 69 (rentals). Tower 67 of course, and many condos in the area.
The parameters are also that my husband can get to work at 6:30AM near Grand Central ... that's the TOUGH one!
Has anyone inquired into West River House lately??? How are their prices?
