Discussion about 95 Wall Street in Financial District
I have lived in the Dwell since 2/09 (almost 12 months). I have been VERY disappointed with the building. The facade is just that 'a facade'. The building is converted office space and they did a terrible job. I have been displaced twice (2) due to floods in my apt. The company does not want to compensate any of the tenants for the flood damage and inconvenience. I have tried to contact the owners (The Moinian Group) with no success. My next step is to seek legal advice. I am also my start a 'tenant association' so we can seek to make it a better place to live. DO NOT rent at the Dwell.

Also they seem unable to provide consistent HOT water throughout the building (mainly in the kitchen). They have been working on this issue for 10 months and still have not found the problem. Their excuse I have been given from management is as follows; 'We have young people in the building and they don't cook a lot". WHAT???
hearing stories like this gets me so angry. through no fault of your own you get stuck with this crap. the owners of that place should be ashamed of themselves. terrible building in a worse neighborhood. Fidi is so screwed.
Thanks Marco. Actually I kind of like the neighborhood....but I would never recommend living in the Dwell or ANY built building managed or by the Moinian group.
They also built the atelier, correct? The next 12 months for them should be interesting...
I'm not sure really...but the only other building I lived in was built from the ground up to be apartments. The thickness of walls and every other aspect is so much better the a converted office space (the Dwell), that I will never choose a converted space again.
I just hope others get this information before making the same mistake I did by renting at the Dwell.
Moinian, the developer, is now in bankruptcy. The last thing they are going to do is spend money.
Its not moinian..its rubicon, one of the lenders of the property. either way, its not good for Fidi and it just more evidence of whats to come in Manhattan RE
FYI to the person asking about this building.
I have lived in this building about a month, ever since we moved in , we had problem with dish washer, it doesn't work properly , and then the door on dish washer fall off from the machine completely , unbelievable !! we called and called, they sent 4 different group of handy people came to fix it, but none of them seems know what's wrong with the machine, it's obviously , they need to take out the dish washer and replace it with a new one, just simple as that, but the refuse to do so.. frustrated !! worst management system ever!!! super expensive rent vs super sloppy management .
