has anyone else noticed that there are two london terrace towers on streeteasy - i think they should be combined to make it easier to track the sales history -

Unless I'm mistaken, they are completely separate co-ops. If that's the case, then it would be just as inappropriate to "combine" them as it would be to combine 993 Fifth Avenue and 995 Fifth Avenue because they're next door to each other.

It's a single co-op that owns both buildings. Strange, but I guess it was cheaper for the original sponsor to do it that way rather than form two separate co-ops.

its one coop - i think that someone split it up on this site so that you cant tell how many units are actually available and also it is really hard to track if an apartment is relisted -

There are 4 co-op buildings which together make up London Towers. They are at the 4 corners of 23rd/9th, 23rd/10th, 24th/9th and 24th/10th. The buildings in between them on 23rd St. and 24th St are called London Terrace and are rental buildings. Originally they were all one unit development, but now the Towers are one co-op and the rentals are a separate entity. There is quite a bit of history attached to these buildings, replete with the developer jumping off the roof during the depression, and many famous people living there over the years.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Sandy Weill will jump off the roof during THIS depression.

i still think there should be one area, not two, on street easy for london terrace towers - i think someone did it so that you can't tell how many total units are for sale in the towers.
