wow, so this is the building where the real estate broker, the one-time Ramones manager Linda Stein, was murdered by her assitant few years ago. 18C, which was once worth $3 million in 2007 was sold for $1 million after the murder. Talking about a good deal, 66% discount! and that was in 2008. http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2010/01/10/us/AP-US-Ex-Punk-Manager-Slaying.html

How do you figure $3M in 2007?

18C is a one-bedroom/one-bath, not at all like the C-line lower down. The people in the 18A penthouse bought it to expand their spread, and had the whole thing on the market for awhile.

There may well have a discount for notoriety and spatter, but it wasn't $2M.

"She was found dead in her $3 million apartment on Oct. 30, 2007, the victim of a bloody beating that fractured her skull"

Streeteasy doesn't have any description on the apartment, so had no idea it was 1b/1b.

Sorry, one-bedroom and two baths. Plan at the bottom of http://img.streeteasy.com/nyc/image/66/3500866.gif.

$3M does make a better news story, though.
