NEW YORK, Jan 11 (Reuters) - A federal appeals court on Monday appeared skeptical of U.S. Federal Reserve efforts to prevent the press and the public from learning the names of participants in emergency lending programs designed to support and bail out the financial system.
The central bank has argued that disclosure would cause "competitive and reputational harm" to participants, perhaps triggering bank runs, and impede its ability "to effectively manage the current, and any future, financial crisis."

I think the potential tax against banks to replay AIG and auto industry loans is pretty crazy talk.

Why should the banks be taxed to make up for auto industry loans? Just because everything falls under TARP and they are the only ones that can pay?

Now America is like China in 60's a lot. Out of mind people are blaming anything as they want, no matter is correct or not. If the politicians use it just in order to get the votes, a lot of wrong things could be done. Wish there are enough wise people to think for the long run of this country.......
