What options are there for 1-2 month short term housing besides hotels, that are affordable? We are looking for a furnished 3BR as we have to move before our new apartment is ready. And any idea how much it costs to store an apartment full of furniture for 1 month? Thanks.

churchill, furnished quarters, and aka suites are a good place to start. I would suggest 55 Wall Street where I do quite a few short term furnished rentals, although I dont have any 3BR's available right now unfortunately... good luck to you and your family! Short term furnished 3BR's aren't easy to find at all.

I rented a great 4 bed duplex in a brownstone in Central Harlem.

my furniture is in storage for $400/month which include a very high insurance tab.
