Discussion about
Has anyone looked at this building? Thoughts?
It's a glass house overlooking a rather gross stretch of 23rd (a rather gross street in general). Modern buildings aren't really my cup of tea, but even if they were, I would not want to look out onto this block, nor would I want everyone on this busy street to peer into my residence. If you are fine keeping your shades on the northside drawn, you may enjoy the supposedly charming southern views onto gardens and 22nd street townhouses.
However, I would generally avoid this block. On the south side of 23rd there are a few absolutely beautiful townhouses (amongst them, a stribling office and a theater), but it's mixed with some pretty gross commerce (petco, lotto etc.) The north side is way worse - you have a dallas bbq, an eyesore of a movie theater (may be being converted into something), and ugly mitchell lama housing. On the plus side, there is some nice greenery, and it's pretty convenient to public transportation, esp the C/E. IMHO, the developer should transplant this building one block west - makes all the difference in the world!
It is wierd how easy it ease to view the inside of the units from the street. The guy on the 2nd floor really needs to install some blinds
Totally. These units are see thourgh. should have used some glass that is slightly reflective at least. Building looks good but in the wrong place. 23rd & 9th sucks.
