http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/31/realestate/31posting.html?ref=realestate Is it just me or does this place sound like a nightmare I think it encompasses a lot of what is wrong with this city.

it depends on what you're looking for. it's a perfect frat house.

I might have been interested in that kind of environment when I was in my late 20's. Now, not so much. But they are not targeting 40 year olds.

Certainly, the concept of creating a like-minded community within the building seems like it could be a good idea.

Are there than many parentally supported little sh**ts immigrating here that need to be in immediate proximity to a nightclub, have a DJ in their lobby and store their vicodin in a lockbox when the club experience spills back into their apt.

kiz - Now that you mention it, when I was in my late 20's and living a clubbing lifestyle (and could have used a lockbox for pharmaceuticals!), I was living in a lower middle-class 'hood deep in Brooklyn. I couldn't have afforded Chelsea.

So, yeah, one wonders how many young club kids can afford the rent there.

LOL, yeah this may have been appealing to me in the mid 90's though now all I picture is this turning into the "Carter" project building from New Jack City.
