Is the last example in this NYT article a typo? What am I missing with bids being entertained while "in contract"? http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/07/realestate/07cov.html

Possibly they mean "contract out, but not signed"

Jim, not "bottom is here", but "down enough", I guess.
