Discussion about
I only count 22 sales. Has it always been this low? I thought it was much higher.

I'm surprised that many people closed. If you look at the closing prices, many of them >$800/psf. If they took a standard 20% down mortgage they may be upside down already. As far as attracting new buyers, it seems to be a consensus that the bachelor heading up sales is completely inept.

uh....how do you know he is a "bachelor"....and ..maybe he is responding to some odd, strategic directive of the management (this is pure speculation but i wonder if their main goal is to get existing contract people to close, not sell new contracts because the new prices might spook those already in contract...this could be a precursor of The Edge if they ever start to close)

from his halstead bio:
And if you think you recognize him from somewhere other than the closing table, you may have seen Jay in his appearance on the hit ABC reality show, “The Bachelor,” season six.

given the # of closings, i don't think he has much to worry about

jim, although they may be waiting to close out all outstanding contracts before publishing further price reductions, it might be best not to alienate and annoy prospective buyers in the meantime. I think rather than a coordinated strategy, its just poor sales technique, and arrogance of a brokerage team that hasn't been notified that its not 2005 anymore.

i looked this up just to see and it seems like he was in a season where they started out with 2 guys and let the ladies pick which one they wanted to go after. and he lost. so he was in one episode. as the loser. sadly i don't think people would recognize him from either the tv or the closing table.
on a side note i love how you have to call to schedule an appointment during their supposed "open house".

when you have been selling a project for 2 years and closed 20/110 units why do you need to work so hard. The suckers will come to you.
