Run Away! We met with several people from this firm over the course of the 6 years we have been here (moved 4 times). All 5 I talked to were blatantly dishonest (asking for extra % of broker's fee at the least minute, misrepresenting the rental price and security deposit requirements, tried to bait and switch apartments with "similar" but completely different layouts and renovation status). Usually the apartments you see on the net are magically "gone" 30 seconds after they post them. Just yicks. I got the same from citi-habitats.

I've had good experiences with Cooper and Cooper, Bellmarc, Corcoran, Nestseekers, and Fireside Realty. They were all honest, showed me what I wanted to see in my price range (never blatantly stretched it), no misrepresentation. These are higher caliber firms and I would suggest you stick with them as the others like anchor will just give you a headache.

nybits.com - WHY PAY A FEE?

Last time I didn't pay a fee actually. Cooper and Cooper and Nestseekers have several with no fee.

nybits.com is pretty good, but it has a very small percentage of available apartments. It does not include thousands of apartments that would like you to pay a fee, but will ultimately negotiate with renters when push comes to shove.

I hope you are not confusing us with a similarly named firm. if you did have a bad experience with one or more of our agents I would be very interested in hearing the details of that interaction so that we can continue to improve.
