This just sold at $1,200,000. The seller paid $1,031,000 in early 2006, and after transaction costs, paying off the CC lien, and the monthly drain (7.375% mortgage) for four years, may have come out whole. The game doesn't look to have been worth the candle. The speculator, a Staten Island dentist, did a bit better several years ago, next door at 220RSB.

Buying the S&P ON 3/31/00 and selling it on 3/31/09 wasn't so good either...

NWT: I did notice the serial speculator at the RSB buildings. A few people did well going from 200->220->240. The usual assortment of NJ docs, dentists, and people with Slavic & E. Asian names. Can't feel too sorry for someone who lost 400k in this go-around.

Right, those buildings and 845 UN Plaza. Wonder how the buildings' staff keeps track of who's resident, etc. Maybe they get ID cards or something.
