Discussion about
I have an antique chest of drawers that needs a repair. I don't want to trust it to just anyone. Does anyone know an antique repair person whom they've had a good experience with in the past?

Try contact Christies or Sotheby's - maybe they could recommend someone?

Thanks, NYC - you're a sport! Have you used Restoration Antiques? Did you have a good experience with them?

They repaired springs in a mid-century chair for me. I am not sure I would bring a priceless roman artifact to them, but they are very helpful and competent (and not too pricey).

Thank you. I seem to be low on priceless roman artifacts at the moment. I'm sure they will do just fine on my 18th century chest of drawers.
