Decent looking building, but the finishes don't seem high-end enough to merit some of these asking rents, terrace or no terrace. It is a nice location though, especially if they get those tennis courts prettied up. http://www.rosenyc.com/No-Fee-Rental/34-Berry.aspx
4 months later, it's essentially rented out (2 units left out of 142). I'm simply amazed.

amazed? that a professional landlord know's how to price their property so that it rents quickly?
I thought the asking rents were a bit aggressive. Not sure how much there was in the way of concessions (free months' rent, which I know was going on at their other rental in the area, 184 Kent), but it's nonetheless impressive. I don't need your permission to be amazed, do I?
I don't see what's amazing. Compared to a brand new building in Manhattan where you get a washer/drier in each apartment, 34 Berry rented at an expected discount. The $2650 one-bedroom at 34 Berry would rent for something like $4000 in Manhattan.
