Yet Another False NYT Real Estate Report

Times reports the sale of a West 120th Street townhouse for 1.9 million dollars. The reporter couldn't be bothered with fact checking. Had she done a simple ACRIS search, she would have seen that the actual price was 1.650 million-- quite a bit lower than 1.9 (not to mention the original asking price). I sometimes wonder why the Times doesn't just declare its entire real estate section an "Advertising Supplement". Sheesh.

it pretty much does.

look at the front page of the site..... its listed not with the news sections, but with classifieds and autos. They are basically admitting its exactly that...
