Atlantic Yards

It will increase traffic and prices in nearby neighborhoods.... if it ever gets built.

I'm a first time home buyer and am considering buying a condo 2 blocks from this area. Is it a good idea? I figure prices will increase due to the new services that will come to the area, but am I too close to the construction site that I won't be able to sleep at night for the next 5 years? Just wanted to get everyones opinion on living near that area

It will do for downtown Brooklyn what Yankee Stadium did for the South Bronx, and what Giants Stadium did for the Meadowlands ... nothing at best, drive people and businesses away from the perpetual traffic snarls at worst.
