apt23 lied to the police

"...Everyone in the building complained for months but the police would do nothing because it wasn't illegal (imagine!). Finally I called and said we had called a dozen times and because they would do nothing, my husband went out to buy a gun (not true, he is a pacifist). In New York, you can't just "[go] out to buy a gun." There's a extensive permitting process for a license and restrictive process for purchases after a license.
