It's a good example of 1950s/1960s higher-end, as befits the location. Good room sizes, closets, etc. The lozenge-shaped gallery in one of the two-bedroom lines is sort of sweet.

Do you know anything about the financials of the building? So of the maintenances seem high.

Maintenance isn't bad. E.g., $2600 for this big 2/2.5: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/sale/483038-coop-30-east-65th-street-lenox-hill-new-york

In 2006 that apartment's share of RE taxes was $1000 per month -- it is 65th & Madison -- while underlying-mortgage interest was $356 per month.
