Stay away. Stay FAR, FAR AWAY. This building is full of politics and old timers that want things to be stuck in 1965.

Can you expand a little bit more on this. I am actually considering purchasing in this building.

Probably the same story as most coops in Riverdale and probably most of NY if there hasn't already been a lot of turnover.

I don't know this one in particular but know the nature of some others in Riverdale and Manhattan. The buildings went coop in the '80s but Riverdale being what it is there hasn't been a ton of turnover. So the buildings all have large portions of the original tenants, some even most, who have been there 30+ years (to before the conversion). They don't want things to change. Certainly not when they are in the 70's and 80's.

Add to that the fact that the boards probably have a large proportion of these types, after all they have both the time and the interest to maintain the status quo.

My husband and I moved to this building in 2012 and love it. It is a mix of people, young, middle-aged and some older, lots of professionals, it is dog and kid friendly and an easy commute to Manhattan by car, express bus or Metronorth. There is a terrific outdoor pool right in front of the Hudson River where you can swim and cook out as well. The river views are spectacular whether you have a terrace or not. I do not agree with the negative reviews above. This is a great place to live!
