I just about had it with living at Soho Court. Today, I came back home and the elevator was broke, yet again. The only thing that happens more is the lack of hot water, which happens about 4 times a month (some weird boiler problem that they seem to not be able to fix in last couple of years). Plus packages mysteriously disappear, especially around the holidays. And there has been incidents of theft as there is no security in the building. Don't even get me started on horrible management company!

i am a no fee broker and covered the neighborhood very extensively.
there are two buildings in the neighborhoods that are elevator w live-in super. these 2 buildings offered similar amenities such as laundry on site and one has a large room.
both of these supers lives in their building whom would pick up packages along w ensuring things get fix since they don't want folks in the building to be knocking on their door
if anyone is interested, i would be happy to show these buildings

Maybe Soho Abbey or the buildings on Mulberry, north of Houston (304? Mulberry), where there's a doorman. You can also try Avalon Christie (above Whole Foods). Or 199 Bowery.

We lived at 304 Mulberry it was fine, but get court-yard side. The street noise is quite loud.

Once again, another complaint about a rental building.
Look on the bright side, renting is temporary. Here or elsewhere. Some day, sooner if you are disciplined, you will own and not deal with these problems.

i have moved a couple of people into 301 and in their building on C, CD280, and have never gotten any complaints. Most of the tenants seem to love it there.

If you do decide to break your lease, DON'T bother signing a surrender agreeement with them.
The entire team coerces you into believing that the unit rents out really quickly, because the building is in high demand. They are really chill about it because they know they still have your 1 month security with them.
You are better off just walking away and leaving them with the security deposit because they basically take the additional $550 that they charge you to break the lease, and then apply the security deposit to what they call the first month of unpaid rent.
