Anyone know how this new development in the East Village can claim to have 90% of it's units in contract? The building is the laughingstalk of the neighborhood, with insultingly high prices and floor to ceiling glass looking out over the projects on Avenues C and D. It's not even close to being finished and the block is probably the least desirable in the EV. I realize that there's some developer subterfuge going on here just not sure how it works. Are developers selling amongst themselves just to keep up appearances?

all this glass, steel, and pretension in our beautiful little lowrise neighborhood is an utter abomination. shame on you 251 avenue B. you're ugly as all sin and you belong in midtown with the moron yuppies you're trying to attract.
